Ashcombe advises Aldridge EDC Speciality Finance on its investment in DDM Holding AG


Ashcombe Advisers is pleased to announce that it has advised Aldridge EDC Speciality Finance ("AEDC") on its investment in DDM Holding AG ("DDM"), a leading credit management business in Central & Eastern Europe ("CEE").  Following this investment AEDC holds a stake of 48.8% in DDM.

DDM is a leading acquirer and manager of distressed assets. Since 2007, the DDM Group has built a successful platform in CEE, currently managing 2.3 million receivables with a nominal value of over EUR 2 billion.

AEDC's business objective is the purchase of operating businesses and assets in the financial services sector in Europe and CEE. The core focus lies on acquisitions of / investments in (i) platforms and assets of un-/secured (non- and sub-performing) consumer loans, SME loans, residential mortgages; (ii) financial solutions platforms (on low cost and high-/ fin-tech basis) offering payment and banking solutions for underbanked consumers, and (iii) (distressed/sub-performing) regulated financial institutions (including banks). AEDC is run by Erik Fällström, former Co-Founder of HOIST Finance, and Andreas H Tuczka, former partner at Lone Star Europe.

Since 2014, Ashcombe has worked on 27 financial services transactions with a combined value of approximately £4.3bn.
