Ashcombe advises Virgin Group on the proposed sale of Virgin Money to CYBG plc

Ashcombe is pleased to announce that it has advised Virgin Group (“Virgin”) on the proposed sale of Virgin Money Holdings (UK) plc (“Virgin Money”) to CYBG in an all-share offer that values Virgin Money at approximately £1.7bn. Virgin is the largest shareholder in Virgin Money with a stake of ca. 34.8%. The combination of two of the country’s leading challenger banks will create a powerful competitor to the large incumbent banks with more than six million personal and business customers.
